The agency was supporting a multi-location restaurant brand that needed to determine which menu concepts should advance, how they should be positioned, and whether they belonged as permanent items or limited-time offers.
The research measured purchase intent, uniqueness, craveability, repeat-order potential, price acceptance, brand fit, and the likelihood that each concept would increase restaurant visits. The agency also needed to understand why consumers responded positively or negatively across groups.
Compeers AI analyzed structured survey data and open-ended feedback within one workflow. The platform ranked concepts by purchase intent, assessed uniqueness and craveability, evaluated willingness to buy at the tested price point, and quantified the relationship between brand fit and visit likelihood.
It coded qualitative responses into themes such as flavor appeal, familiarity, ingredients, dietary restrictions, premium cues, and negative sentiment. Statistical comparisons identified differences by age, gender, income, dining frequency, dietary preference, and household characteristics.
The analysis was converted into charts, narratives, an executive summary, and decision-ready recommendations for the agency’s client deliverables.
The strongest concept generated purchase intent in the mid-50% range, while two additional savory concepts approached or exceeded 50%. A premium appetizer was viewed as highly differentiated by roughly three-quarters of respondents.
Highly differentiated concepts generated purchase intent above 70%, compared with the mid-40% range for less distinctive ideas. Limited-time offers outperformed permanent items, and frequent diners were substantially more receptive to new concepts.
Brand fit materially increased commercial potential and visit likelihood. Selected beverage concepts, however, faced weaker purchase intent and negative feedback related to flavor, alcohol content, ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
The research gave the agency a clear launch hierarchy: advance the strongest sweet and savory concepts, use limited-time positioning to maximize trial, reserve premium pricing for highly craveable ideas, and refine or deprioritize concepts with weak brand fit or ingredient barriers.
This use case demonstrates how Compeers AI helps insights agencies turn restaurant concept testing into verifiable guidance for menu development, pricing, positioning, launch strategy, and client decision-making.
Compeers AI helped an insights agency identify the strongest restaurant concepts, optimize their positioning and pricing, and turn consumer feedback into clear launch recommendations.
